On January 30, Oregon based rapper and artist NORD (Carter Davis) released a new single on streaming platforms titled “TEN (She Know)”. Fans have been waiting for a new release from the elusive musician and influencer, with one commenting and crowning NORD as “Portland’s top artist”. The team at Broadcast Log gave the track a listen, and are happy to report a comprehensive review of the single with 15 years of combined music listening experience behind our belt (no pressure, NORD!).
The track starts out with an ominous, deepened guitar sample loop with occasional carefully modified vocal chop samples. As the track opens up with the main talent, NORD’s soothing yet textured vocals can be heard loud and clear with a captivating chorus to ensue. The song’s lyrical content is superb, touching on topic elements that would typically be featured in Hip-Hop genre party music while mixing in R&B influence alongside. The track is just over two-and-a-half minutes in length, which we would agree is ideal for the song’s style.
After listening a few times, the team is really feeling this track. We rated it a 9.6 out of 10 on our scale of: catchiness, uniqueness, and production score average. “TEN (She Know)” by NORD is available to stream and purchase across all major music distribution platforms – Apple Music, Spotify, iHeartRadio and many more. With this single being Oregon rapper NORD’s fifth released song to date, we have no doubt that Carter will only continue to perfect his craft and impress even more than the more than ten million listeners he has accrued thus far in his career.
