In the suspenseful series Rocket Boys 2, actors Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh reprise their roles as Dr. Homi J. Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, where the scientists speak with Prime Minister Indira Gandhi about a covert nuclear test. Where it left off, the historical series continues.
After leaving the first season on a bit of a cliffhanger, Dr. Homi J. Bhabha (Jim Sarbh) and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai (Ishwak Singh) are back for Rocket Boys’ second season with intentions to turn India into a nuclear power like the rest of the world’s superpowers. In the first teaser, scientists are shown assembling a team to carry out a covert experiment while they seek advice from Prime Minister Indira Gandhi (Charu Shankar). Rocket Boys 2, a film produced by Nikkhil Advani, Roy Kapur Films, and Emmay Entertainment, will be streaming on SonyLIV in March.
The new teaser, which was written and directed by Abhay Pannu, depicts the stressful historical moments as the scientists seek to test the nuclear bomb while trying to keep their plans hidden from the Americans who are already snooping on them. Jim is the self-assured Homi Bhabha; he consistently maintains that he has a strategy for making everything work out. In the meantime, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Arjun Radhakrishnan), Dr. Homi Sethna, and Dr. Raja Ramanna are assembled by Ishwak Singh in the role of Vikram Sarabhai to assist with the test.
Rocket Boys 2 also features Regina Cassandra, Rajat Kapur, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Namit Das, and Saba Azad and is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, Monisha Advani, and Madhu Bhojwani. Eight Filmfare OTT awards were given to the first season, which had its launch on February 4, 2022. These awards included Best Drama Series and Best Director.
