Developers have received $320 billion from the App Store since its debut in 2008: Apple

Since the opening of the App Store in 2008, Apple has paid out a whopping $320 billion to developers for the sale of their digital products and services, the tech giant has revealed.

More than 900 million people have paid memberships to various Apple services, including Music, TV+, games, and more.

The company wrote in a blog post that “this year, more people than ever visited the App Store to discover and download the world’s most innovative and cutting-edge apps and games in a safe and trusted environment.”

The App Store unites developers of all sizes, from small international teams to established single producers, with more than 650 million visitors each week in 175 different locations, fueling a thriving global economy.

According to Apple, Shazam introduced 17 new national charts and 58 new city charts last year, bringing the most popular music in the world to more regions of the globe as consumers found over 40 million unique songs and over 1 million artists received their first Shazam.
