The present Doodle honors Armenia’s Independence Day, referred to locally as Ankakhutyan or. On this day in 1991, Armenia passed a choice with an almost consistent vote to announce sway after right around 70 years under Soviet standard.
Delineated in the Doodle craftsmanship is Armenia’s red-blue-and-orange banner, which was first formally flown for very nearly three years after the country’s underlying declaration of opportunity from Russia in 1918. The plan was formally restored in 1990 after Armenia embraced its Declaration of Independence, and the banner keeps on filling in as an image of Armenian opportunity, flexibility, and common excellence today.
Glad Independence Day, Armenia!
